History & Beliefs
By God’s mercy and providence, our church has been at this location since 1843. We seek to be a Christ-centered congregation by loving God and showing His grace to those around us. We believe that faith in Jesus Christ for the redemption of our sins is the only way to receive salvation and eternal life with God (John 3:16; John 14:6; Romans 6:23). We also believe that the truths of Scripture speak clearly into every season of life, offering wisdom, comfort, and direction for all who desire to study the Bible and grow in their understanding of God’s Word (2 Timothy 3:15–17).
At ELBC, you can expect services and Bible studies grounded in clear Bible teachings, with expository preaching and applicable systematic theology that help us walk faithfully in our daily lives (Psalm 119:105; Proverbs 3:5–6; 2 Peter 1:3–4, 20–21). Whether you join us for worship, participate in a midweek Bible talk, or simply seek encouragement through fellowship, our desire is to help you know Christ more deeply. We enjoy singing both modern and ancient hymns and aim to be an active presence in our community—showing God’s grace to families and individuals for His glory.
Let us walk together in faith as we learn, grow, and continue to study God’s Word.
