History & Beliefs

By God’s mercy and providence, our church has been at this location since 1843. We seek to be a Christ-centered congregation by loving God and showing His grace to those around us. We believe that faith in Jesus Christ for redemption of our sins is the only way to have salvation from the punishment of sin and to partake of eternal life in heaven with God (John 3:16; John 14:6; Romans 6:23). We believe that the truths of the Bible can help any and all of us with any and all of the problems we may face (2 Timothy 3:15-17).

At ELBC you can expect services and Bible studies to have preaching and teaching that come from the Bible (expository preaching with applicable systematic theology) and address current everyday aspects of our lives (Psalm 119:105; Proverbs 3:5-6; 2 Peter 1:3-4 & 20-21). We enjoy singing modern and ancient hymns. We want to be actively involved in our community and show God’s grace to families and individuals in our area for the glory of God.
